Hi,

I'm Celine, 24 years old and I've been paragliding since I was 16.

A tandem flight my mother gave me for my 11th birthday sparked my enthusiasm for flying. After graduating from high school and during my training as a confectioner, I had the pleasure of flying in France, Sweden, Denmark, Australia, Thailand, Colombia and of course a lot at home in the Alps. In 2018 I completed my tandem pilot training and turned my passion into my job.

Paragliding takes up a very large part of my life because it is so wonderfully diverse. Whether it's Hike & Fly, cross-country flying, acrobatic flying or competition flying, I really enjoy doing every discipline!

I am enthusiastic about the idea of ​​measuring yourself against others. My current focus is on Hike & Fly and XC flying. In recent years I have participated in a lot of competitions, my greatest success being the Hike & Fly race Dolomiti Super Fly 2022. The task in this competition:  crossing the Dolomites in six days only on foot and with a paraglider checking various turnpoints on the way. I was the first woman in the history of the Dolomiti Super Fly to finish the race.

A very special competition is coming up in 2023, the Red Bull X-Alps. The race was founded in 2003 and has taken place every two years since then. It's the toughest Hike & Fly race in the world. In almost 2 weeks, a distance of over 1000km is covered through the Alps. The 35 athletes cover up to 150km a day, passing turnpoints in different mountain regions.

I am supported by my team, who help me with tactical decisions and take care of the logistics for food, accommodation and equipment. In order to be successful, teamwork, tactical decisions, perseverance and mental strength are very important.

With the participation one of my biggest dreams came true.

The race is associated with considerable costs, which the athletes have to bear themselves. They consist of: a caravan, fuel, equipment, food, accommodation and more for my team and me.

I also need time for preparation. The training has already started, but the competition will not begin until June 2023.
