I am João Pimentel, a 28-year-old amateur triathlete originally from Porto, Portugal, currently living in Zurich, Switzerland, where I work full-time as an architect. I balance a demanding professional career with structured endurance training, combining discipline, consistency, and long-term focus in both my work and sport.

I began my triathlon journey in 2025 and quickly progressed into competition. I completed my first Sprint Triathlon in Wallisellen in April 2025, followed by another Sprint Triathlon in Uster in August 2025. These early races marked the beginning of my commitment to triathlon and strengthened my motivation to continue developing across swimming, cycling, and running.

As a developing athlete, I am focused on continuous improvement, building experience through competition, and steadily increasing my performance across all three disciplines. My background in architecture shapes my structured approach to training, planning, and progression.

I was a competitive swimmer when I was younger. I am currently seeking sponsorship opportunities with brands that share a passion for endurance sport, performance, and an active lifestyle. My goal is to grow as an athlete while authentically representing partners through my training journey, race participation, and involvement in the triathlon community in Switzerland.

And, maybe, one day, I can become a professional athlete.
